| •Jessica started skating on their backyard rink as soon as she was able to walk and began speed skating around the age of four.
•Because of her focus in both long and short track speed skating, Jessica went to nationals throughout the years.
•In 2005, Jessica made the Junior World Team for short track and at that point travelled to Belgrade, Serbia. There she came in third
in the 500m and fifth overall at this prestigious competition. In 2006 she again made the team, this time travelling to Romania where she again came
in third in the 500m and fifth overall.
•After high school she moved to Calgary with Jamie and skated in the top short track group. At this point, Jessica qualified for her first
world cup and placed third in the 500m in Quebec. Winning three other medals for relay at world cups that year, she also attended the World University
Games in Torino, Italy.
•During the 2007-08 season Jessica travelled to four world cups, placing in the top six three times. She also made her first world championship,
with her team placing third overall. Jessica has been training six days a week in Calgary and it hasn’t taken long for this dynamo to become one of the top
speed skating prospects in Canada!
